Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan informed that Max and August are getting a new baby sister next year.
Mark Zuckerberg is the founder, chairman and CEO of Meta, which he originally founded as Facebook in 2004.
Mark Zuckerberg said “We’re partnering with Salesforce so all businesses that use their platform can use WhatsApp business messages to answer customer questions, run marketing campaigns, and sell directly in chat. More and more people prefer to communicate with businesses over text. That’s why we launched our Cloud API earlier this year and are now partnering with Salesforce.
“Most people use feeds to discover content and use messaging for deeper connections. We’re building Community Chats as a new way to connect with people who share your interests. More than 1 billion people use Messenger to communicate with friends, and soon you’ll be able to start Community Chats from Messenger as well as Facebook Groups.”
“Excited to launch our partnership with JioMart in India. This is our first-ever end-to-end shopping experience on WhatsApp — people can now buy groceries from JioMart right in a chat. Business messaging is an area with real momentum and chat-based experiences like this will be the go-to way people and businesses communicate in the years to come”.
“We’re launching Horizon Worlds in France and Spain ! Looking forward to seeing people explore and build immersive worlds, and to bringing this to more countries soon.”
Zuckerberg addressed criticism of his recent AI launches. New chatbots have exhibited offensive speech patterns, and his virtual reality system has been critiqued as rudimentary. There’s never going to be a perfect artificial intelligence system, he said.
Meta’s next VR headset will contain new features to create a feeling of “social presence,” he said. “There’s more nonverbal communication when people are with each other than verbal communication.”
Zuckerberg discussed the pandemic-era shift to working from home, saying it was a good thing for his engineers. “Sometimes it’s actually better to not be in the office because then people aren’t bugging you. You kind of want like a block of like five hours where you can just work on a problem,” he said.
